Digital Imaging System
It's an incredibly powerful diagnostic and treatment planning tool. Dental images are processed via computer allowing access and review for the dentist and patient. These images can also be shared with our dental laboratory to produce exactly the result you desire.
Intraoral Camera
State of the Art intraoral imaging is a powerful enhancement to our examination and diagnosis protocol. It allows the dentist easy, accurate control while looking in those dark, hard to see places in the mouth.
Air Abrasion Dentistry
In many instances, a small cavity can be restored without injections or drilling. This is accomplished with our Air Abrasion system and state of the art restorative materials.
Laser Cavity Detection
Lasers, cutting-edge light technology, can now help find decay earlier than even before. Traditionally, metal instruments were used to "feel" the hard enamel for soft spots of decay. Because decay at the surface of teeth starts as a microscopic break in the enamel and erodes the underlying tooth structure, traditional detection methods only revealed decay when significant tooth structure had already been lost. The laser can now go in to microscopic origins of decay, and identify decay early, before more of the tooth is lost to decay. With early detection, we can remove the decay with the most conservative methods and restore the tooth to health again (with both small and tooth-colored bonding).

Our patients enjoy coffee, tea or bottled beverages, fresh fruit and cookies in the reception area. A television and DVD player are there for you enjoyment.
Nitrous Oxide sedation is available to help you relax. You may bring your favorite CD or enjoy one of ours with headphones designed to block out dental noises. We have blankets if you get chilly and warm freshly scented towels are provided after your appointment.

Dr. Slotnick is a native Californian and graduated from USC School of Dentistry in 1977. After graduating with a strong interest in Cosmetic Dentistry & Smile Design, he attended many hours of continuing education to further his skills and education. In 1980 he was asked to develop the first dental resin aesthetic curriculum at USC for undergraduate dental students and maintained the position of Assistant Clinical Professor for 5 years.
Throughout his career he has been a member of the Peer Review Committee of the San Fernando Valley Dental Society, President & Program Chairman of San Fernando Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, Founder of the Association for Resin Dentistry Aesthetics and Clinical Director of Fremont Dental Group.
He is a member of the ADA (American Dental Association), CDA (California Dental Association) and CCDA (Contra Costa Dental Association) and the Antioch Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Slotnick and his wife reside in Oakley and he enjoys woodworking, and surfing the internet in his spare time.
